Zelensky: Ukrainian intelligence indicates that Russians are preparing for a new massive attack

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukrainian intelligence services possess data suggesting that the Russians are preparing for another large-scale assault on Ukraine. Speaking on the matter, Zelensky noted the timing of the alleged threat, occurring shortly after American Independence Day and preceding a NATO summit in Ankara. He stated that Russia intends to escalate conflict and cause further casualties.

He urged the public to remain vigilant and to heed air raid warnings. Addressing Ukraine’s international allies, Zelensky specifically called for the prompt delivery of air defense systems, such as Patriot missiles. He emphasized that any delay in receiving these crucial defensive assets directly results in loss of life and could embolden the Russians.

The remarks underscore the ongoing security concerns within Ukraine, with the President relying on intelligence reports to warn the public and international partners. Zelensky’s appeal highlights the critical need for sustained military support to bolster Ukraine’s defenses against perceived Russian aggression. The focus remains on preempting further attacks and ensuring the readiness of the Ukrainian defense infrastructure.
