Selective disinsection against rats in Zatriq and Drenoc of Rahoveci on May 5 and 6

The Directorate of Agriculture in the Municipality of Rahoveci has scheduled selective disinsection efforts targeting snails in two local villages as part of ongoing preventative measures against Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF). The procedure is set to take place on June 5, 2026, in the village of Zatriq, and on June 6, 2026, in the village of Drenoc. A notice issued by the directorate, disseminated via Facebook, strongly advises residents to maintain vigilance and cooperate fully with the field teams during the disinsection process.

The communication explicitly requested that citizens adhere to all instructions provided by the personnel deployed on site. In addition to the scheduled treatments, the Directorate of Agriculture has issued a specific advisory to local farmers. On the dates of the selective disinsection, farmers are instructed not to remove wheat grains from silos.

These measures are being implemented to enhance the overall prevention and control strategy for CCHF transmission within the municipality. The coordinated effort aims to mitigate risks associated with the spread of the disease through vector control.
