In its statement, the AKK asserted, “The Draft Law on Public Property presents a worrying tendency toward the centralization of competencies and undermines one of the fundamental pillars of local self-governance, which is the right of municipalities to own, administer, and manage their property.” Furthermore, the association has assessed that the structure and content of the draft law appear to conflict with the existing Law on Self-Governance.
