Court for the Formation of Institutions: Awaiting Certification of Results

Prime Minister by designation, Albin Kurti, addressed the ongoing political process concerning coalition formation and the establishment of governmental institutions. In a brief statement provided to KosovaPress, Kurti confirmed that the government is currently in a preparatory phase, emphasizing that the next steps are contingent upon official confirmation of the electoral outcomes. Specifically, Kurti stated that the administration is awaiting the final certification of the election results.

The central election commission had previously announced the initial breakdown of the July 7 elections. According to the reported figures, the Vetëvendosje (VV) movement secured 47.13% of the vote. The Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) obtained 19.44% of the total votes, while the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) garnered 16.69%.

The Albanian Action Coalition (AAK) was reported to have received 6.74% of the vote share. Kurti’s comments underscore the procedural requirements necessary before any formal government structure can be finalized. The emphasis on the certification process suggests that the current political maneuvering is focused on validating the election data.

The official confirmation of these results is deemed critical for moving forward with the formation of the governing coalition and ensuring the stability of institutional frameworks within the country.
