Eglant Koçi, who went missing two weeks ago, has been found.

The body of Eglant Koçi was discovered in the village of Cerrujë, situated between Tirana and Elbasan, on Thursday, June 18. A local resident initially reported the discovery, prompting police to conduct drone verifications. The body was located within a ravine, and alpinists from RENEA were mobilized to facilitate the recovery, according to Klan News journalist Besar Bajraktaraj.

Tirana Police issued a statement confirming the find, noting, “In the territory of the village of Cerrujë, in the Domush neighborhood, a decomposing male human body was found. The Police Services and the investigative group, under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office, are continuing investigations and verifications to identify the individual and uncover other circumstances of the case.”

The authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of Eglant Koçi’s body. The police investigation aims to positively identify the individual and determine the full context of how and where the body was found.

The 34-year-old was last seen near the area, according to preliminary reports. Investigative teams are working to gather further information to advance the inquiry.
