Despite this daily increase, the current screening volume is significantly lower when compared to the peak recorded on April 18th, which saw 649 total screenings. Regarding West Nile fever, the Institute of Public Health has confirmed that there have been no new laboratory-confirmed cases. Furthermore, the most recent samples collected from individuals with suspected cases have tested negative via PCR analysis.
In addition to the negative test results, there have been no new patient admissions to the Infectious Diseases Clinic associated with suspected West Nile fever.
