Parim Olluri, a journalist with Gazeta Express, commented on the opposition led by LDK leader Behxhet Pacalldaj, referring to it as “Abdixhikun” – a reference to Pacalldaj’s approach to Prime Minister Albin Kurti. Speaking on T7’s “Pressing” program on April 16, 2026, Olluri argued that Pacalldaj isn’t engaging in substantive political opposition against Kurti. Olluri suggested that Pacalldaj may believe Kurti is deserving of his position and exhibits excessive respect towards him.
He stated that Pacalldaj’s actions lack any concrete political effort to challenge Kurti’s leadership. According to Olluri, Pacalldaj’s hesitation stems from the 13.8 referendum and a perceived need to actively confront Kurti. He indicated that Pacalldaj might be underestimating the potential for LDK to secure between 20 and 25 percent of the vote in a coalition with Vjosa Osman.
Olluri concluded that Pacalldaj’s current approach doesn’t constitute genuine opposition.
