Prosecutor for suspects in the FFM scandal: Everyone is under house arrest, no one has escaped

The Prosecutor’s Office has confirmed that all individuals currently identified as suspects in the corruption cases related to the Football Federation of Macedonia are presently under precautionary measures. Authorities have reported that there are no absconding individuals concerning these ongoing investigations. According to the Prosecutor’s Office, preliminary legal measures have been implemented for two of the suspects, while one additional individual has been placed under house arrest, indicating that all parties involved in the proceedings remain under institutional control.

The investigation stems from an operation conducted on June 18 across multiple locations in Skopje. During this operation, the Financial Police and the MPB executed searches of residences and business premises, acting under the direction of the Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Corruption, following the receipt of a prior criminal complaint. The scope of the case is broad, encompassing not only the individuals but also eight legal entities that are suspected of involvement in criminal acts categorized as “embezzlement in service.” The prosecutor’s office continues to manage the proceedings, ensuring that all legal avenues are followed regarding the alleged financial misconduct within the federation.

The current status confirms the immediate detainment and monitoring of all persons identified as suspects related to the matter.
