Six students representing Kosovo recently participated in the esteemed EAGLE 2026 (Excellence in AI and Global Leadership) program. This initiative was organized by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) under the U.S. Department of State.
The group included six participants from Kosovo: Mat Baruti, Art Qorraj, Ardisa Hamiti, Leart Obertinca, Rigon Haxhijaj, and Rrita Canolli, who were accompanied by mentor Ariana Gerqari. During their time in the United States, the students engaged in a comprehensive curriculum combining intensive educational, cultural immersion, and leadership development activities across Seattle and Washington, D.C. The program provided the students with firsthand exposure to global technological advancements.
A significant component of the experience involved study visits and specialized training sessions at major international technology corporations, including Google, Amazon, and Microsoft. These visits allowed the six students to gain practical insights into the rapidly evolving fields of artificial intelligence, innovation, and modern technology development. The curriculum was designed to equip the participants with knowledge relevant to global leadership in the tech sector.
The participation of these students from Kosovo underscores a commitment to fostering international academic exchange and professional development. The program aims to bridge academic learning with industry best practices, providing the young professionals with the tools and perspectives necessary to contribute to technological advancement upon their return.
