Abelard Tahiri, chairman of the PDK (People’s Democratic Party), has strongly reacted to a recent court ruling that orders the state-owned Banesore Public Enterprise to pay over €32 million in compensation, citing “lost profits.” He described the case as unprecedented and detrimental to the Prishtina budget. According to Tahiri, the entire legal process lasted only seven days and consisted of just two court sessions, culminating in a decision favoring a consortium of private companies based on a questionable contract previously overturned by the Court of Appeal. He emphasized that after failing to acquire public property in the center of Prishtina, the groups in question are now attempting to claim €32 million from taxpayer funds following a decision he argues challenges established legal procedures.
The ruling is seen as a significant development in the ongoing dispute.
