Zelensky: Today, we launched new operations against Russia

President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the approval of new operations targeting Russia. In a public statement, the Ukrainian President reported that the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) has achieved positive results in its efforts to counter Russian aggression. Speaking about the SSU’s focus, Zelensky indicated that Oleksandr Poklad provided details regarding the Service’s priorities for the month of August.

Furthermore, Zelensky confirmed that he authorized internal changes within the SSU. He emphasized the necessity of ensuring that the Service operates solely in the interest of Ukraine. Addressing the leadership, Zelensky granted the head of the SSU authority to proceed with measures intended to streamline the Service.

The directive aimed at removing personnel who, according to the President, were prioritizing personal interests over the defense of the nation. Zelensky concluded his statement by acknowledging the personnel within the SSU who he stated are genuinely committed to defending the country and its citizens. The announcement signals a continuation of heightened security measures and an internal restructuring effort within key state security bodies under the direction of Zelensky.

These approved operations are set to guide Ukraine’s defense strategy moving forward.
