The Special Court is scheduled to announce the verdict against four former UÇK leaders—Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, and Rexhep Selimi—on September 16. The allocation of these limited spaces has been structured with specific reservations. Forty of the available seats have been reserved for close family members, while another forty are designated for accredited media personnel. This substantial disparity between the high volume of interest and the physical capacity of the hall means that the majority of those wishing to witness the announcement of the verdict will not have an opportunity to do so in person.
Consequently, individuals who submitted requests but cannot secure one of the limited seats will be required to follow the proceedings and the final decision solely through the Court’s official broadcast. The situation highlights a notable constraint regarding public access to the proceedings. While the anticipation surrounding the verdict is high, the physical limitations mean that access remains restricted.
Out of the more than 220 requests received, the number of available seats dictates that many interested parties will rely on remote coverage rather than attending the courtroom live.
